The aim of this project was to completely redesign the artwork for an existing book cover.

The title of the selected book is "How To Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You."  This scene places a cat who's owner is naively making an effort to be playful (holding a pink mouse toy) while only being glared at by the would-be felonious feline, sure-footed as a coy assassin, with its weapon of choice coiled inconspicuously inside of its tail for the very moment of vulnerability where the owner could be put down – for good.  

Cat-like characteristics were carefully added to the book title on the cover while orientation of the text on the spine is set interestingly and suitably for vertical display on book shelves.

I created this design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
