BRAND IDENTITY - EVENT

The Los Angeles Urban League has spent over a century helping African Americans and others in underserved communities achieve their highest true social parity, economic self-reliance, power, and civil rights. The League promotes economic empowerment through education and job training, housing and community development, workforce development, entrepreneurship, health, and quality of life.

Their marketing consultant was looking for an on-brand event them that would utilize the current LAUL color scheme while also promoting and their mission of coming together to uplift communities.

I collaborated with the organization’s team of event coordinators and web designers as lead graphic designer to create a social media kit along with all printable collateral in line with the event theme I created. I coined their event slogan, “We Rise, Together” and made it the center of my design direction.

The repeating “rising arrow” imagery helps to keep the idea of constant upward momentum centerstage while their are also rising arrows seen in various other sections of the design, such as the background and in the “I” in the event logo’s “Rise.”

This effort resulted in the use of printed mailer invitations, a social media package, and digital and printed sponsorship forms that helped to draw in sponsorship and attendance by notable community and corporate industry leaders .

I created the collateral for this event using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.
